Sound precedes form. You are the sacred taking shape.
I teach the Sacred Sound Body
— a path home to yourself using ancient sound practices.
Rooted in mantra, resonance, and the oral tradition of Sri Vidya Tantra, I guide practitioners into deeper states of clarity, presence, and embodied wisdom. Rigorous enough to satisfy your intellect. Alive enough to reshape you from the inside out.
If you've been craving something with real roots — you're in the right place.
You've listened to the gurus. You've read the books. You've sat in the circles. And you've started to notice the difference between what inspires you for a week and what actually changes something.
That's why you're here.
I'm Steph Chee — sacred sound teacher and mantra practitioner with 24 years of classroom experience and 18 years of deep study in the Himalayan Tradition of Sri Vidya Tantra.
What I bring is a living transmission from one of the oldest oral lineages on earth. Two forms: Sanskrit mantra you chant yourself, and sacred sound you receive. Both draw from the same ancient understanding — that sound can illuminate states of consciousness ordinary life keeps just out of reach.
Where does your path begin?
For Wellness Professionals
You got into this work with real intention. Now you're ready for a practice with roots deep enough to sustain everything you offer. Sanskrit mantra and sacred sound offer the support of a living lineage, to nourish you as much as the people and communities you serve.
For Spiritual Seekers
You're looking for direct experience, not more information. A living tradition that illuminates the inner teacher — the source of wisdom and healing you've sensed was there all along.
For High-Achieving Women
You move fast, think clearly, lead well. You also know there's a dimension of your life that the calendar never touches. Ancient sound practice offers a different kind of power — one that runs underneath the momentum, not against it.
Hi, I'm Steph.
24 years of serious training and study. A B.A. in Biology from Columbia University. 1,000+ hours of formal certification as a yoga practitioner and educator. Two decades of training yoga students and teachers. A deep initiate in the Sri Vidya oral tradition of the Himalayan Sages— one of the oldest living lineages of sacred sound on earth.
I chant in formal practice, seated and still. I also chant in the shower, through the woods, and while floating in the ocean. The most important thing all of my study has taught me: pay attention. Listen. Let the intelligence in the sound do its work.
That's what I teach.
Start with something real.
Subscribe and I'll send you The Fearless Heart — an ancient Durga mantra for courage, steadiness, and the remembering of your own unshakeable nature. No prior experience needed. Just bring your full attention.
Mantra practiced with melody and rhythm lands differently than mantra recited on a page. I give you all three — the sound, the song, and the pulse — so you can feel from the very first practice what this approach actually is.
What makes this different.
Real lineage, not a certification.
Sanskrit mantra and sacred sound healing from a 5,000-year-old oral tradition — transmitted from teacher to student without interruption. Intellectually rigorous. Alive in the body. The real deal.
It's a process of remembering, not adding.
Mantra is inherently self-revealing, illuminating latent or unseen states of awareness within your cellular memory. The frequencies you bathe and practice in reshape your nervous system, your baseline, your capacity.
Containers that hold.
Hundreds of students have described my retreats and courses the same way: genuinely held, not coddled. Skilled facilitation. Intentional structure. You leave with practices that stay with you long after the retreat ends.
24 years of depth.
This isn't my side project. It's the work of my life. Featured in Thrive Global, the Himalayan Institute, Down East Magazine, and more — with a student community built on trust, rigor, and real results.
